Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, anyone can become a certified yoga teacher if he/she undergoes 200 Hour YTTC training with devotion and surrender to Guru. You need to balance practical and theoretical training under 4-week yoga training to maximize your potential as a promising yoga teacher from any yoga school affiliated to Yoga Alliance, USA.

The 200 hour YTTC runs as a four-week (24-day) residential course with four weekends, combining daily practice, theory and teaching methodology from early morning to evening.

The core of the 200-hour training is traditional hatha yoga — asana, pranayama, bandha, mudra, shatkarma and meditation — taught alongside anatomy, philosophy and teaching methodology, so you understand yoga both as a practice and as a way of life.

On successfully completing our Yoga Alliance registered course you receive an RYS 200 certificate, with which you can register directly with Yoga Alliance, USA as an RYT 200.

After earning your RYT 200 certification you can complete the required teaching hours and register through the Yoga Alliance portal to upgrade to an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200).

The course blends theory and practice — philosophy, anatomy and methodology alongside asana, pranayama, meditation, cleansing practices and supervised teaching practice, in a residential day-to-day schedule.

Satbodh teaches authentic, traditional hatha yoga in a serene setting away from the crowd, with small groups, personal mentorship and an emphasis on inner transformation rather than only physical practice.

No prior teaching experience is required. A sincere interest in yoga, basic physical fitness and a willingness to follow the disciplined daily schedule are all you need to begin.

Traditional hatha yoga is a complete science of inner transformation — balancing body, breath and mind through asana, pranayama, kriya and meditation — whereas modern yoga often emphasises only the physical, fitness-oriented aspect of practice.

Students are evaluated on practical demonstration, teaching practice, attendance and discipline, and a written or oral assessment of theoretical understanding, in line with Yoga Alliance requirements.
